The Yumi of Fire was one of the Elemental Nemurani created by the Oracles.
Appearance and Abilities[]
The Yumi of Fire was made of plain ash-wood and was slightly warm to the touch. Arrows fired from the Yumi of Fire guided themselves to their targets, a weapon which would allow one man to stand off an army. [1]
Retiring from Ningen-do[]
In 1160 the Oracles of Light decided to retreat from the Mortal Realm for a time, to watch the people of Rokugan from the Celestial Heavens. Only the Oracle of Jade would remain among the people. Before they left, each Oracle created an enchanted item that bore the power of an Elemental Dragon. [2] Isawa Mitori crafted the Yumi of Fire. [1]
Unicorn Clan[]
A Shinjo Scout, named Shinjo Jinturi, [1] discovered the yumi in a village in the Western Unicorn mountains. The scout came upon a village under attack from a bloodspeaker cult, and he alone fought them. During the fight he discovered the yumi and slew the remaining bloodspeakers using its elemental powers. The bow was very powerful and turned any arrow loosed from it into a bolt of pure flame. [3]

Mirumoto Kalen eventually found the Yumi of Fire in 1199. [4]
