Yogo Yoshi was the Jade Champion during the rule of Hantei XX.

Yoshi was a courtier and shugenja, cousin to the Scorpion Clan Champion Bayushi Hideari. [1]
Jade Champion[]
Yoshi was appointed as the Jade Champion in 658. His strong personality led him to restore prestige and power to the office, gaining the enmity of the Council of Five. [2] During the Great Famine the investigations of the Jade Magistrates were hampered by the lack of resources. In 664 the Phoenix found a cultist cell at Aka Mizu-umi, led by a man called Dear Uncle, and they used the incident to discredit Yoshi [3] who stepped down. Yoshi retired to a monastery in shame, and the Jade Champion office became vacant, with no successor. [4]
