Yasuki Quartermaster was the informal designation for those Yasuki specialized in military logistics. They were traders and merchants by vocation who had been recruited into serving the Crab military establishment. [1]

Quartermasters were attached to the staffs of Rikugunshokan or Shireikan, to oversee the proper supply and feeding of the soldiers. When they were attached to an army on the offensive, they would have to venture and get what they could from local sources. Quartermasters were authorized to seize what they could by force, through the presence of their bodyguards. [1]
