Willows were deciduous trees with typically elongated leaves which could be found in the southern woodlands of Rokugan. [1] The twigs and branches of the willow tree were tough and pliable, and they were used to create baskets, chairs, hats, and other items. Willows were also appreciated for their flowers and were thus often grown in gardens. [2] An arrow was named willow leaf for its tip's shape, similar to the typical leaves of a willow. [3]
