Maru and Omen
The Voice of the Obsidian Moon was the identity gained by the avatar of the Obsidian Dragon in Ningen-do, after its ascension as the Obsidian Moon. [1]
Shosuro Maru[]
In 1170 the first Voice was Shosuro Maru, formerly Oracle of Obsidian. [2] She, alongside with the Voice of the Jade Dragon, Omen, announced to the Imperial Court the new Emperor would be decided through the Celestial Tournament. [3] Maru and Omen presided over this tournament and judged its competitors. [4] Omen bestowed the blessings of the Jade Sun upon the winner, Kitsuki Iweko, who became the Empress Iweko I. [5]
