Uzume was a heimin who run a gambling house owned by Chiriyo, a local gang leader whose lieutenant was Hokoryu. The samurai-ko Morito Tsuchide stormed the inn, defeated the ronin enforcer, Ijio, and questioned Uzume about his patron, who told her everything he knew. [1]
