Utaku Noriko was a Battle Maiden of the Unicorn Clan. Stationed in the border with the Lion Clan, she obtained a victory during a skirmish, only to realize that the Lion had passed through a Unicorn village and put it to the torch. Noriko had sought to gain glory for herself, forgetting her real duty, to protect their own people. She was reassigned to escort the Ide merchant caravans, but when she passed through the Nazo Mori region Noriko stayed behind to protect the people from whatever was hidden in the ruins of the forest.
