Uma, who was most known as "Horse", was a merchant of Ryoko Owari Toshi.
Stables[]
Horse run an extensive stable which produced some of Ryoko Owari's finest steeds, [1] called Speed of the Northlands. [2]
Shifting loyalties[]
Uma was under the Shinjo family patronage when Bayushi Korechika, the leader of the opium Bayushi cartel, began to destroy every Shinjo merchant asset there. Uma sided with the winner horse. [3] Horse was exempted from all formal duties to Korechika for a year, in exchange for her loyalty. [1] She created the cartel's land distribution network. [4]
Death[]
During the Opium War in 1122 someone entered her stables, knocked the woman out, and then stampeded her horses out across her unconscious body. All her fine horses were dispersed throughout the city. [5]
