Nao was among the first group of former Wasp to take her gempukku as member of the Mantis Tsuruchi family, as Tsuruchi Nao. [1]
Yojimbo[]
Nao was appointed as Yojimbo to Yoritomo Koyomi, a prominent, boorish, arrogant, and cunning courtier who traveled between the different courts of Rokugan. She was also a dedicated Mantis who worked to further the cause of her Clan. After seven years, Nao succeeded Yoritomo Sumitomo, Koyomi's nephew, as head of guards. [1]
Wandering the Empire[]
After years of service as a yojimbo, Nao retired of these duties. She continued to travel throughout the Empire, working as a scout, bodyguard, or bounty hunter. For a time she cleansed the Mantis lands from criminals, working in close cooperation with Mantis magistrates. She eventually won an archery contest as a way to serve justice against a man who had murdered his wife. [2]
Sensei[]
Nao retired from active duty, becoming a Tsuruchi Bounty Hunter sensei. [2]
