Tsi Shodu was a ronin shugenja, son of Tsi Xing Guo, Fortune of Steel, and the apprentice of the bloodspeaker Jama Suru.
Demeanor[]
Shodu was a bitter hateful and malicious man, ignored by a father too absorbed in his work and station. [1] He was a gifted smith, and though Shodu shared his father's talents, Xing Guo favored his duty over his son. [2]
Training[]
Shodu trained within the Agasha Shugenja school and grew up spoiled. [1]
Bloodspeaker[]
Shodu was planning to kill his father when Xing Guo was ascended to the Heavens. He turned to the Bloodspeaker Cult of the Blood-Red Moon to gain more power, and kill his father, currently a Fortune. He became a student of Jama Suru, who saw Shodu as the vessel of Jama Suru for the next generation. [1] [3]
Anvil of Despair[]
In time, his allegiance was discovered, and Shodu fled to the Twilight Mountains. There the Anvil of Despair lured him to become its servant. It remained with Shodu for a time, and crafted a blade. The blade drank his hatred, and anger, leaving him with nothing but guilt. He became a shadow of the man he once was. When it was done, others came and took the Anvil, but they came too soon. Shodu lived, and when he healed the bloodspeaker sought the cursed thing again. [2]
Death[]
In 1166 Shodu saw how an Asahina found the Anvil. He fired his bow, killing a Toritaka guide, but a Shiba retaliated and his arrow was true. Shodu was mortally wounded and talked with his murderer, Shiba Gyukudo, and explained him the danger the Anvil was. [2]
