Tonbo Yoshito was a shugenja of the Dragonfly Clan.

Every time it seemed that failure would greet Yoshito, a bizarre coincidence would occur, and he would find himself lauded for his performance. He came to the conclusion that he didn't have the inner resolve necessary to serve as a samurai. Yoshito seemed like a cheerful man, but he completely lacked self-confidence. Eager to be away from any place where his presence might lead to later disaster, he requested to be sent as emissary to a minor location, as Dark Edge Village. [1]

Yoshito lived in a guest room of the Administrative Center. He spent a good deal of his time at the shrine near the Dueling Fields. [2] He shared stories with Iuchi Masuyo, the resident shugenja, fearing the time he would be exposed as a fraud. [1]
