"The Emperor's Blessing" was a play written by Miya Mai in 472. It was Mai's most critically acclaimed work. The play was a tale about the end of the War Against Fu Leng and the founding of the Miya family. [1]
Mai herself considered the play "too tame," and she only finished it because she needed the money from her patron. Despite the misgivings of the playwright, "The Emperor's Blessing" was widely regarded as Mai's best work, and many imitations had followed over the years. [2] [1]
