This temple had the distinction of being the westernmost Crane holding, and was said to stand in the shadow of the Scorpion. It stood on the plains overlooking the Scorpion hills and was multi-denominational.[1]
Destroyer War[]
In 1173 the temple fell during the Destroyer War. Shinjo Genki, the widow of Shinjo Shono, engaged the Destroyers to buy time for the monks and children in the temple. She survived and continue to fight in this war. [2]
