The Japanese Shinto god of longevity and a happy old age. He is one of the Shichi Fukujin, the seven gods of luck. Jurojin is accompanied by a crane and a tortoise. He is painted riding a white stag, smiling like a friendly old gentleman. (Encyclopedia Mythica)
