Monsoon Season

Taifun

Taifun (hurricane), [1] the Rokugani word for great wind, could devastate entire coastlines with its powerful winds and driving rain. [2] The super-taifun was known as the kamikaze (divine wind). [3]

Appearance[]

A taifun began far off the shore, when cold northern winds collided with warm southern air and spiraled into a sweeping mass from the surface of the sea. At the center of the storm was an immense eye referred to as “Suitengu's Port”. When the taifun reached the shore, harbors were flooded and coastal lands washed clean, ports torn asunder. The hurricane ended as the spirits became calm and the storm faded away. [3]
