Suzume Sakyo was a shy and timid Sparrow maiden.

Sakyo in 1121 moved to Ryoko Owari Toshi to become the bride of a Kaiu weaponsmith, Kaiu Shinya. Shinya had his right leg cut below his knee, and was an unfashionably hasty samurai, but after a courtship of less than three months in 1122 she married the Crab. [1]
Truth exposed[]
It was not known what happened to her when a second Kaiu Shinya appeared at the city and claimed to be the real Shinya, and accused Sakyo's husband to be a shapeshifter, a tainted Kumo Gaki. [2] She was pregnant at that time. [3]
