Suzume Ito was a shugenja of the Sparrow Clan.

Ito was the Sparrow Clan's premier shugenja, but he could be considered barely a novice by Phoenix standards. He could hardly cast a spell without destroying his scrolls, and a failed experiment made him unable to speak with the water kami. [1]

His granddaughter Moshi Rukia inherited his magical gifts. [2]
