Slippery Maneuvers was a Rank 2 water shūji which taught that a leader made several signals and calls out a command, often a code word, to their troops and suddenly the formation shifted in unison to take advantage of the terrain around them. Experienced leaders made sure to train their troops in a variety of theaters of war, so that they could use any field of battle to the greatest possible advantage. [1]
