Yamazaki was a ninja ronin who gained the Scorpion Clan membership as Shosuro Sogetsu.
Ronin[]
Yamazaki lived at Shutai, a plagued-bandit Scorpion village, where he met other ronin who considered him a friend, as Otoya, Sugiyami Yagi, Kouda, Futaba, and an unnamed Kuni. Yamazaki, who was the local magistrate, somehow gained the trust of the Scorpion Clan and swore fealty to the Shosuro family as Shosuro Sogetsu. [1]
Jimen's agent[]
Iweko's Journals[]
During the War of Dark Fire, Shosuro Ohba and Sogetsu were tasked by the Emerald Champion Shosuro Jimen to find and secure the journals of Kitsuki Iweko from her time prior to her ascension to the throne. The pair infiltrated Shiro Kitsuki during the Siege of Shiro Kitsuki. [2]
Seeking Noritoshi[]
When Jimen sent his agents to find Kakita Noritoshi and his son, Sogetsu doubted the true behind his Lord's orders. [3] Sogetsu worked again with Ohba in this mission. [4]
Shutai[]
In the month of the Hare of 1173, [5] following the tracks of Noritoshi, Sogetsu returned to the village where he had lived eleven years, in the middle of the Destroyer War offensive at Scorpion lands. He met with Jimen, who was there to defend the village with the Imperial Legions against the impending attack of the Destroyers. [1]
Death[]
Ohba and Sogetsu sneaked in the house Noritoshi was hidden with his son, but the Kakita Daimyo managed to kill Ohba and deadly injured Sogetsu. With his last breath Sogetsu requested to Noritoshi to leave the village, avoiding a direct encounter with Jimen that day. In that way the Emerald Champion would endure in the defence of Sogetsu's beloved village, instead to be distracted with his Blood Feud with the Crane. Noritoshi left the village. [1]
