Shosuro Jiroko was a courtier of the Scorpion Clan [1] and governor of Ryoko Owari.

Masterful Courtier[]

Shosuro Jiroko was a gifted student of the Imperial Chancellor Bayushi Kaukatsu. She was a ruthless manipulator who dominated Ryoko Owari's courts in the absence of her sensei, who was most of the time in the Imperial Court at Toshi Ranbo. Jiroko had spies almost in every place or organization, and even her agents had infiltrated the city's criminal cartels. [2]

Ryoko Owari's Unicorn Control[]

In 1165 she was the leader of a contingent of Scorpion samurai who felt that the Unicorn should be made to appreciate the enormity of their error in taking Ryoko Owari from them. They were intent on undermining the clan for so long as they remained in the area. Jiroko believed she was acting with the Imperial Chancellor Bayushi Kaukatsu's tacit approval. [3]

Governor[]

Jiroko succeeded Bayushi Tsimaru the governor of Ryoko Owari, appointed by the Scorpion Clan Champion, Bayushi Paneki. In 1170 she was trying to countermove the Mantis, which had managed to either buy or otherwise gain control of the majority of businesses of Teardrop Island, gaining the effective control of this district. [4] In 1200 Jiroko retired, and he was succeeded by Shosuro Takumi, her favored student. During the Twenty Festivals former and new governor met Daigotsu Kanpeki. Jiroko was present during an audience of the the Spider Clan Champion with Yoritomo Teppei, regarding the steal of the Ancestral Sword of the Hantei by the Mantis Clan. [5]
