The Castle of the Twins was a small and unassuming stronghold in the Asako lands, close to the Phoenix Mountains. Once it held the Phoenix winter court during the rule of Shiba Kosaka. [1]

Legends said that the castle was named after the twins Isawa Ishi and Isawa Oriko, who protected a village near these mountains. An immortal yobanjin sorcerer began to terrorize the villages near the mountains. He confronted and cornered the twins in a blind canyon, who sacrificed themselves to bind the sorcerer on the earth, and all three were pulled into the heart of the mountain. The twins lived so long as the sorcerer did, and their life-force kept him chained within the earth. [2]
