Shiba Castle, also known as Eye of Eternity Castle, [1] was the ancestral seat of power of the Shiba family. If the Shiba Daimyo was absent, his hatamoto ruled it in his stead. [2] It sat north of the shores of the Sea of the Sun Goddess. [3]
Appearance[]
The largest Phoenix Clan holding on the coast and a major port, most of the clan's trade with the rest of the Empire passed throug. It was a confusing, apparently haphazard amalgam of different military, architectural, and engineering styles borrowed from almost all of the clans. It hosted everal prominent Phoenix dōjō, but also the Empire's foremost shrine to the Kami Shiba, [4] the Shrine to Lord Shiba, which was built on a courtyard hill within the castle. [5]
Besieged[]
Shiro Shiba was besieged during the Lion-Phoenix War. The Lion slaughtered much of the tiny remnant of the Ki-Rin Clan, who had stayed behind while the rest of their clan traveled, eventually settling near Shiro Shiba under Phoenix protection. [6]
