Shintao, the "Way of Shinsei", [1] was the study of the Tao of Shinsei. [2] Shintao focused on meditation, tended to be more contemplative and isolated than others, and one of their favorite teaching tools was the koan. [3]
First Temple[]

Divergences[]
A divergence within the Brotherhood of Shinsei in interpreting the Tao, led to two primary philosophical views, the ascetic and the Worldly Shintao. [5]
