Shinjo Khulan Khan was the Champion of the Unicorn Clan.
Burning Sands[]
In 1010, Shinjo Khulan Khan ordered her trusted friend Moto Qaro Khan to build a city on the border between the Sand Road and Rokugan, and it would be known as Khanbulak. [1] During his rule the Sand Road was surveyed, and it run some 12,500 li from Khanbulak to Al-Zawira, the capital of the Qamarist Caliphate. In the year 1010 he managed to expand the Unicorn territory beyond the Empire's border when the Ganzu people of the Hidden Valley swore fealty to him. Shinjo Khulan Khan saw weakness in the caliph Ali al-Walid, waged war against the Qamarist Caliphate and conquered all its lands wast of the King's River. [2]
Legacy[]
Khulan Khan passed his military knowledge in the treatise known as the Tactics of Shinjo Khulan Khan. [3]
