Shiba Nakafusa was a bushi of the Phoenix Clan.
Death[]
Nakafusa led a unit in the Battle of Stolen Graves, where a Maho-tsukai tricked him into killing several of his own men. Nakafusa died before he could commit seppuku. [1]
After Death[]
Nakafusa's spirit became a goryo, unable to reach Yomi until he could recover his blade. In the 9th century the Phoenix Clan planted him in the sealed Jade Champion's Room at the Imperial Palace, as a way to farther undermine the post of Jade Champion. The maddended spirit claimed his wish to recover his daisho to raise it up against the maho threats in the Empire. [1]
