Seppun Hill was the place where the Kami landed when they fell from Tengoku, and the site where the Imperial capital, [1] Otosan Uchi, was built. [2] [3] It remained a hallowed and unspoiled mount: the sacred place where Seppun herself, a holy woman of her tribe, met the eight Kami when they fell from the Celestial Heavens. [4]
