Resplendence was a paean of gratitude and admiration for the second Emperor, written by an unknown Ikoma scholar in the year 247, following the death of Hantei Genji. This document became one of the two founding texts of the Order of the Sacred Emperors, alongside with Radiance wrote by Seppun Mittoru, venerating the First Hantei. [1]
