The Rakshasa were a race of semi-immortal demonic entities whose true forms resembled bipedal tigers with human-like hands. They were shapechangers, illusionists, and sorcerers who fed on human flesh. [1] These creatures were bipedal and ranged from human-sized to over eight feet tall, and possessed llusionary magic that could change their appearance to any who view them. Most loved to capture and eat human flesh, though some have other nerfarious plots. Most rakshasa were intelligent, and not all weare driven by insatiable bloodlust. When a rakshasa overcame their urge to feed, they could spend more time refining their illusory and magical arts, making them much more potent and deadly. These older, wiser rakshasa were capable of both good and bad acts, but were often driven to wicked deeds in response to being hunted by humans who viewed them as no more than monsters. [2] One of the rakshasa's greatest enemies were the yodha, a special order of warriors of the Ivory Kingdoms, individuals dedicated to keeping the threats of the Ghostlands' forests (the southern region of the Shadowlands) out of their homeland.
