The Raja were princes of the Ivory Kingdoms. Their status was analogous to that of a Clan Champion. [1] Each Raja was the head of a House which bore his name, formed by noble kshatriya warriors. Other servants under him were brahmin scholars and priests, mystical gurus, and even wealthy merchants. [2]
