Pillar of the Sky was a range mountain of the Burning Sands, located to the south and west of the Plain of Wind and Stone. It was crossed by the Sand Road, and beyond the mountains it descended to the scorched plain of the Burning Sands proper, in the direction to the Ivory Kingdoms. The Green River born there. [1]

These mountains were said the tallest in the world, and the people such as the Tegensai tribes, trolls, and goblins who lived there were though and often violent. [1]
