The Phoenix Road was a book written in 470 by the famous ronin poet Botan. It depicted the Phoenix Road Festival, a series of festivals traveled by the monks of the Order of Ebisu during three months. The book became quite popular and tourism in Phoneix lands increased dramatically. [1]

Updated[]

In the centuries since Botan's life, the original book became outdated. The Seppun family updated the information and every year a new volume of the Phoenix Road was produced. The book was quite popular with holy pilgrims seeking to learn more about Phoenix culture, and among young bushi who intended to enjoy months of debauchery. [1]
