Peach trees were Rokugani fruit trees appreciated for their aesthetic qualities in addition to the fruit they bore, and were often displayed in gardens. [1] Its wood was used to craft Tsangusuri, and because of this there were numerous peach trees lining the road to Shinden Asahina. [2] It was also because in Rokugan a peach blossom symbolized both “change” and “peace,” and changing the world by bringing peace was the Asahina ideal. [3]
