Otomo Yurikan was Hantei XVI's younger brother, and sibling, a full decade younger than the Emperor. He was fostered to the Phoenix when Hantei XVI took power, and was trained in the Asako Loremaster school. [1] In 609 he died when the library in which he was studying burned to the ground. The accident had been ordered by his brother the Steel Chrysanthemum. [2]
