Otoku, also known as Otaku's Daisho, [1] was given to Otaku by Shinjo herself.
Appearance[]
The saya were worked in ivory and lavender, and a perfect circle of pure purple emblazoned in the hilt. [2]
Dawn of the Empire[]
The blades were awakened as Nemuranai by Iuchi sometime before Otaku left for the Day of Thunder. After Otaku died in the Shadowlands, the Taint fought to claim Otaku and animate her as a minion of Fu Leng, but the power of her swords kept her from being tainted. [2]
Recovered[]
The swords laid in the Shadowlands for eleven centuries until they were retrieved by Yajinden. The smither gave them to Iuchi Katamari in return for Yajinden's heart, which Yajinden had disguised as a crystal crysanthemum. Katamari gave the blades, now infused with the power of Otaku's soul, to Moto Latomu to present to Moto Chagatai. [2]
