Okimoto was a monk of the Seven Fortunes' Order.

Abbot

Okimoto was a baby abandoned at birth by a poor farmer in front of the Seven Fortunes Temple in Toshi no Naishou, and raised by the monks. The abbot died of old age, and left instruction that Okimoto would be his succesor, rather than the usual custom of the temple elders electing a new abbot. After thirty-five years of serving the Fortunes preparing himself for his role, he finally returned to the city's temple. Only then did Okimoto assume leadership of the temple and he was one of the most influential persons of the city.
