Oaks were evergreen trees in north woodlands of Rokugan, [1] which provided a hard and durable wood often used for tools and weapons. [2] Late Hikora was the fortune of the oaks. [3] Pale Oak Plain, in the Phoenix lands, was named after a white oak which grew on the place where the ashes of Hantei XVII was buried. [4]
