Rememberers of the nezumi told tales of a forgotten yet glorious past. [1] They were nezumi with a particularly good memory and a penchant for storytelling, who maintained detailed oral histories for the tribe. [2] Rememberers kept lists of names, carved in secret caves, where no human would find them. Every pup of every tribe was recorded somewhere, for the day they would reclaim former glories and rebuild their libraries and archives. [3]
