Musubi-no-Kami was the Fortune of Marriage, contracts, and collaboration. [1]
Deer Clan[]
In the fifth century, the Fortune preserved the love marriage of the healer Asahina Takuya and the warrior Daidoji Kokoro, made in defiance of the paths set before them by their families and clans. Musubi guided the pair to the Aokami Forest and revealed himself to them in full. Kokoro planted her spear, signifying that this would be their new home, and Takuya knelt, pledging his service to the spirit that had guided their love throughout many trials, an event which marked the founding the Deer Clan. [2]
Temple[]
The Temple of Musubi was built at Kyūden Shika. [3] An ancient spear stood at the sacred tree there. [1]
