Miya Yoshimaru was a Miya Herald and cousin of Miya Daimyo Miya Shoin. [1] Yoshimaru had a great love of sake and young ladies. He expected to became a monk of the Order of Hoshi upon his retirement. In 1167 he was sent to the High House of Light by Shoin. Yoshimaru and two other Miya Heralds were attacked in different Dragon provinces and skinned alive. [2] It was not known at that time the attack was planned and carried out by the madman Prophet of the Dark Lotus, Kokujin, who was starting to organize a peasant rebellion. [1]
