Miya Jotahime was a poet of the 3rd century who made a poem about Shiro Akodo and Kyuden Kakita. The founders of the Akodo and Kakita families, the mirror images, had written a treatise on the way of the samurai (Akodo's Leadership and Kakita's The Sword), and also both were masters of their chosen style of combat (battle and the iaijutsu duel). Jotahime named the road between the cities True Virtue Way. [1]
