Miya Herald

The Miya Heralds were samurai of the Miya family who traveled throughout the Empire delivering new Imperial edicts, laws, and messages accurately and succinctly. They traveled across clan and other boundaries without question. While they were able to defend themselves as much as any samurai, they employed speed and evasion to ensure that their messages were delivered to those who must receive them. Miya Heralds also recorded and reported their experiences with strict objectivity. They were intimately familiar with the Empire and keen observers of its goings-on.
