Miya was originally a samurai follower of Otomo who became the founder of the Miya family.
War against Fu Leng[]
Miya was a young samurai, one year passed his gempukku. As a servant of Otomo he was appointed at Otosan Uchi, the Imperial City. He was allowed to carry packages to his master while Otomo stayed at Hantei's bedside, who was lay dying from a poisoned injury. [1]
First followers[]
After the end of the War Against Fu Leng in 45 Miya was entrusted by Hantei to bring the news of the victory to everyone. His first five followers were ronin, who pledged their lives to guard the Emperor's Herald. [2]
Emperor's Blessing[]
Miya found a tired and desperate people. While he spread the word of the Emperor's Peace he and his followers appeared at dawn at every new town and worked rebuilding the village. One of the Ide had been the first to come forward and aid them. At noon each day he proclaimed the Emperor's Blessing before riding on to the next village. The Emperor's Blessing would survive to the present day, as crews of carpenters wandered the provinces. [3]
Miya family[]
In return for his service in this matter, Miya was given his own family by Hantei's son, Hantei Genji, immediately after his coronation. Otomo was instrumental on this event, working and exchanging political favors to achieve it. [3]
