Matsu Suburi was a bushi of the Lion Clan. He had a mind well suited to strategic planning distinguishing himself early in his career during the War of Spirits, becoming a general. Nearing the end of his fighting career Suburi was appointed as governor of Tonfajutsen and expanded the Central Castle just outside the city in 1159. He dealt against the Tsuno threat and also against ninja arsonists sent by the Scorpion Clan. [1]
