Matsu Naoko was a Matsu Beastmaster. The third-born child of a Matsu couple, she showed an unusual rapport with felines. Naoko was sent to Beast's Heart Dōjō to be taught in the Beastmaster tradition. When she was fourteen, she received a newly weaned lion cub, a rare honor for an inexperienced student. Naoko and Tami, her lioness companion, used their bond in their work as cartographers and scouts for the Lion Clan. [1]
