Matsu Goji was a bushi of the Lion Clan.
Ronin[]
After his gempukku Goji was sent to the battlefield, where he quickly was overwhelmed by the terrifying and chaotic real war. In a major battle, Goji became separated from his unit and was wounded. In a moment of panic, he ran, becoming for all practical purposes a ronin. He keep running, clinging to his mon and armor as the last remnants of his heritage. [1]
The Lair[]
Goji was pursued by a superior force of ronin bandits in the mountains that once belonged to the extinct Boar Clan. Goji was saved by the timely arrival of three bushi, who used their superior reach and skill with polearms to strike the bandits down. Heichi Kotsuro, and his brothers Heichi Kotsune and Heichi Kotetsu presented themselves as Boar guardians of the Lair, a secretive holding of their clan. Goji joined them, because no one could know of the Lair and leave, spending the rest of his life with these remants of the Boar. [2]
Recovering his Purpose[]
Goji initially saw the Lair as a place to hide from his own shameful past, but in time, he had come to love and respect the people of the Boar. He trained and fough alongside them, and had finally overcome his fear of battle. A marriage was arranged to make him a full member of the Boar Clan. [1]
