Mat'chek was a nezumi Chieftain of the Stained Paw Tribe.
Chieftain[]
Mat'chek became the Chieftain of the Stained Paw Tribe after a plague struck his tribe and every one of their Rememberers died. They found an ally, Daigotsu, and they worked with the Dark Lord and his Lost in exchange for food and safety. MAt'chek was fanatically loyal to Daigotsu. [1]
Encounter with other Nezumi[]
Mat'chek was reached by Chin'tch, Rememberer of the Crippled Bone Tribe, and by Nir'um'tuk of the Crooked Tail Tribe. Chin'tch came with Nir'um'tuk to tell Mat'chek the story of Crooked Tail and how they fought the Lying Darkness. He wanted the Stained Paw saw an opportunity to change their dark way. [2] Mat'chek gave them a false assurance and then disappeared. [1]
Death[]
In 1165 Daigotsu brought Ikm'atch-tek, who claimed to be a shaman of the fabled One Tribe, before the Terrible Day. He promised to bring the other tribes to heel under his leadership and to ally all Nezumi with the Dark Lord. Ikm'atch-tek, who was Tsuno in disguise, sensed that Mat'chek could see through his illusion. Mat'check was caught alone and his being was unraveled with a word. Ikm'atch-tek became the leader of the Stained Paw. [1]
