Master of the Winds was reserved for those horsemen who continued to embody Shinjo's passion for exploration. Masters of the Winds were rare and often solitary, among the finest scouts and cavalrymen among the Unicorn. They were sent to make important trips across the Burning Sands. [1]

Master of the Four Winds was the nickname of the Unicorn Clan Champion before the Shinjo family's fall. With the Moto family's ascension, and with the identification of Toturi's children as the Four Winds, the Unicorn shifted to the new name. Among the Unicorn, these individuals were still known as the Masters of the Four Winds. [1]
