Kuni Umibe was an Earth shugenja of the Crab Clan.
Demeanor[]
Umibe was not the brutish Crab nobody wanted to talk with. He had a sense of humor that many could appreciate. Even when used flirtatious words seemed fueled by a desire to lift the spirits rather than any other nefarious thoughts. [1]
Naga Soul[]
In 1169, while attempting to purify the Kuni Wastes Umibe was contacted by the naga Zamalesh. Zamalesh told Umibe that he was searching for the reincarnation of the Jerish, a powerful ancient Naga warlord. Umibe agreed to help Zamalesh, and the two searched until they found Hida Fubatsu, whom Zamalesh believed to be Jerish.[2]
Jade Legion[]
Umibe was the cousin of Jade Champion Kuni Daigo and served as the highest ranking member in Daigo's Jade Legion. [3] Umibe was very impressed by Moshi Minami, and Akodo Koun, who he had met during the Jade Championship. [1] Umibe spoke with Daigo who offered her to be the courtier commander in the Jade Legion, [3] and to command the Legion to Koun. [4]
Yakamo's Fall[]
In 1170 Umibe was who tol the Crab Clan Champion Hida Kuon that Lord Sun Yakamo had been ejected from the Celestial Heavens by the Obsidian Dragon. [5]
