Kuni Purifier
The Kuni Purifier was a school of Clan magistrates [1] that taught knowledge and prayers to deny the dark inside the Crab Clan or the Empire. They had specialized in invocations to the earth kami to banish the minions of the Shadowlands, and also studied the nature of this threat, and no small number had fallen to the very corruption they studied. The Kuni Purifiers painted their faces in stylized Kabuki-like patterns to protect them from the Shadowlands Taint. [2]
