Kitsu Yayoi was appointed to the Castle of the Swift Sword as one of the advisors to Kitsu Takeko, the Kitsu Daimyō. He was a little man, friendly and amicable, who used to wear fine robes. After the Scorpion presented a claim regarding a diamond mine situated in Unicorn territory, a group of samurai were summoned to the Akodo War College at the behest of the acting Emerald Champion, Agasha Sumiko, to gather information regarding the dispute, and report it to Kitsuki Kāgi, an Emerald Magistrate. The samurai arrived at the castle several days before Kāgi, who were traveling with Shosuro Aishi and Ide Tsubame, the representatives of the Scorpion and the Unicorn. The samurai located the official record of the conflict in the Ikoma Hall of Scribes, and they used what they had learned to prevent further conflict, between the Unicorn, Scorpion, or Lion. [1]
